Royal Ceremonies Photography Museum

The Royal Ceremonies Photography Museum is situated to the north of Vimanmek Mansion. King Rama V had this residence built for Her Majesty Queen Srisawarindhira, and named it “Suan Hong Residence” (Swan Garden Residence). It was a green two-storey wooden house decorated with ornamental wood fretwork.

In late 1925, after the death of King Rama VI, HRH Intarasaksaji, his wife, moved from her previous quarters at Vimanmek Mansion to live in this compound.

The residence is now used as a museum where the photographs of royal ceremonies and of the Ceremony of Investiture of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn are kept. The exhibits in the museum are arranged in 8 rooms as follow.
