Phra Thinang Chakri Maha Prasat

The Central Audience Hall (Thong Phra Rong Klang) forms the body of the T. It is accessible through the hall behind the front porch, or via a grand stairway at the back of the East Wing. The Audience Hall contains a throne, Phra Thinang Phuttan Thom, raised on a marble dais and placed at the end of the south wall.

Phra Thinang Phuttan Thom is a wooden throne plated with silver and gold niello (thom ta thong) made at the Royal Command of King Rama V. Above the throne is the Nine-Tiered Great White Umbrella of State.

Today the Audience Hall is the venue for Royal Ceremonies and State Banquets.
